According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 6:52 a.m. to reports of a serious injury crash on State Route 177, just south of Vizedom Road in Hanover Township. Upon arrival, first responders discovered a catastrophic two-vehicle collision involving a 2011 Kia Soul and a 2011 Jeep Cherokee.

Investigators said Brooke Schuler was operating the Kia Soul northbound when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane. The Kia subsequently collided head-on with the approaching Jeep Cherokee.
