TOWSON, MD — Authorities in Baltimore County are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday, June 5, 2026, along northbound York Road near the Towson traffic circle.
According to investigators, a 22-year-old male victim was traveling in a vehicle when he was struck by gunfire from another vehicle. Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident and provided medical assistance before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Police say the suspect vehicle fled the scene, and no arrests have been announced at this time. The Baltimore County Police Department’s homicide unit is actively investigating the incident and working to identify those responsible.
Officers remained in the area for several hours collecting evidence, reviewing surveillance footage, and speaking with witnesses. The roadway experienced temporary delays while the scene was secured and processed.
Authorities have not released further details regarding a motive or suspect description. Investigators are urging anyone with information or relevant dashcam or surveillance footage to come forward to assist with the case.
