Friends remember him as someone who lived life on his own terms, embracing every opportunity to work hard, spend time outdoors, and enjoy the people and things he loved most.

Remembering Nicholas “Nick” Walton

Born in Manchester, New Hampshire, on February 9, 2006, Nick was the beloved son of Robert R. Walton and Jennifer (O’Connor) Walton. From a young age, he developed a strong work ethic and an appreciation for hands-on work, qualities that would continue to define him throughout his life.

Those closest to Nick describe him as a genuine, hardworking, and dependable young man who always stayed true to himself. He possessed a quiet confidence and a willingness to help others that earned him the respect and admiration of family, friends, and coworkers alike.

Whether spending time with loved ones or working on projects he enjoyed, Nick approached life with enthusiasm and dedication.

A Passion for Mechanical Work and the Outdoors

Nick had a natural interest in anything mechanical. Friends and family often recall how much he enjoyed working with equipment, fixing things, and learning how machines operated. His curiosity and hands-on skills allowed him to pursue interests that brought him both satisfaction and purpose.

He was employed by Walton’s Demolition, where his strong work ethic and commitment to getting the job done earned him respect among those who worked alongside him.

Outside of work, Nick found happiness in the outdoors. He loved four-wheeling and spending time exploring nature, embracing the freedom and adventure that came with being outside. Whether riding trails, working on equipment, or enjoying time with friends, he was happiest when surrounded by the activities he loved.

The Special Bond With Barney

Among the many joys in Nick’s life was his beloved dog, Barney. Family members say the bond between Nick and Barney was unmistakable. The two spent countless hours together, and Barney was often by his side during everyday adventures and quiet moments alike.

For many pet owners, a dog becomes a loyal companion and trusted friend, and that was certainly true for Nick. The memories of their companionship remain a cherished part of the life he lived.

A Devoted Son, Brother, and Grandson

Family was at the center of Nick’s world. He shared a close bond with his parents, Robert and Jennifer Walton, whose love and support helped shape the person he became.

Nick was also a loving brother to Riley Walton. Their sibling relationship was built on years of shared memories, family experiences, and mutual support. He was excited for the future and maintained close connections with his extended family as well.

In addition to his parents and sister, Nick is survived by his future brother-in-law, Matthew Martneau, his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Barbara O’Connor, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who loved him deeply.

The loss of such a young family member has left an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew him.
